Sonic Cat has updated Purity, their workstation and PCM Sound Module / ROMpler software, to version 1.4.6.

On the surface Purity is a bit of an odd one, no flash. With care, there is an awful lot in there - as audio demos show. This is one of the few pretty complete ROMplers out there for a low price. Many things claim to cover all the usual suspect sounds but don't deliver at all. Purity has everything for GM playback as well as a rather natty synth that can feel pretty raw or shine, depending on how you handle it. It is a bit pokey but if you don't have a decent core soundset where you can call up the usual suspects easily, Purity is worth a look. You will need to mix it tho as the sounds are raw which allows for their very small footprint which makes it faster to use and viable on an older machine. :-).
