Steinberg has released the LoopMash HD app for mangling beats and tunes. Previously available for iPhone and iPod touch only, LoopMash HD is a high-resolution version optimized for the iPad.
LoopMash HD provides an innovative approach to merging tracks together by comparing and replacing similar musical elements over eight four-bar loops.
The app comes with over 250 audio loops from different music styles plus more than 30 factory presets plus an unlimited number of user presets, which can be exchanged among users. Each preset can include up to 24 scenes, while each scene blends up to eight loops simultaneously. For over-the-top madness, the mashed-up loops are fed through the low-pass and high-pass filters, flanger and phaser effects plus 19 live performance effects, such as tape stops and stutters, are also readily available. And with its intuitive control and 3-D visualization for easy navigation from one page to another.
Users may expand their LoopMash library with four content sets available through in-app purchases, each containing 50 premium audio loops created by some of the finest musicians and sound designers.
