Universal Audio Unveils Volt 876 USB Recording Studio Interface
Universal Audio has expanded its popular Volt series with the introduction of the Volt 876 USB Recording Studio, a rackmount audio interface designed to bring professional-grade analog tone and extensive I/O to studios of all sizes.
The Volt 876 is a 24-in / 28-out USB-C audio interface boasting eight mic preamps and high-quality 32-bit / 192 kHz AD/DA conversion, ensuring pristine audio capture and playback.
A standout feature is the inclusion of Universal Audio's "Vintage Mic Preamp" mode on every channel. This tube emulation circuitry aims to deliver rich, full sound inspired by UA's 610 tube console.
Complementing the preamps are eight onboard 76 Compressors, an innovative analog circuit inspired by UA's famous 1176 Limiting Amplifier. These compressors offer presets tailored for vocals, guitars, synths, and drums, allowing users to add clarity and punch directly during tracking.
