ZAK Sound has released Sapphire Guitar, a free guitar plugin, along with New Horizon, an additional expansion pack. They say:
Sapphire Guitar is a non-traditional guitar plugin created from recordings of different classical, electric, acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars with different techniques.
The techniques used at the time of recording were muted, open strings, fretboard notes, harmonics, and special fx. Then we processed all the recordings and created different instruments for Sapphire Guitar.
Each Sapphire Guitar instrument can be mixed with 5 independent and adjustable textures to add a cinematic and original touch.
Price: Free. The New Horizon expansion, which includes 71 additional instruments, can be purchased for $29.
