Aggressive edges is just that. Sounds with high energy, thick textures and rich in harmonic content.
Each preset was meticulously crafted to be dynamically playable and mix ready. All presets are very close in volume and allow sufficient head room to further process if necessary. All sounds include mod wheel, channel pressure and front panel modulations.
This bank is a great way to learn your way around Fathom's wave draw and wave table oscillators. Most of the patches oscillators consist of either custom wave tables, unique wave-forms or in some cases both. These wave tables and waves-forms can be stored separately and used in your own creations.

Scrubbing Monkeys has come up with a great set of sounds for Fathom. In getting to know a new synth I use these sounds as a guide through the possibilities within Fathom. I would rather go through a bank of sounds than read the manual. The sounds are very musical and usable in many styles. There are powerful Bass, full Pads and tasty FM sounds. My favorite patch is "Resonating glass bass". It's great to see mod wheel implementation and annotated. Clearly I would not have come up with these on my own. I look forward to more sounds from Scrubbing Monkeys and Fathom.

If your mix is going nowhere, try dropping in one of these presets. Trust me, it will open up new avenues for you. I've been using these presets myself now for months and they are perfect for epic EDM themes where a catchy lead needs a memorable patch.

The reason the Scrubbing Monkeys banks are so popular is because of the amount of detail he puts into each preset. Each one has been carefully crafted to be the kind of sound you can build a hit around, especially if you are creating any kind of electronic dance music or ambient tracks. Moreover the designer has a cool habit of programming the mod wheel on most presets to morph the sound into an entirely new set of audio characteristics.
The Scrubbing Monkeys banks also tend to be very popular with film score artists due to the sonic detailing. If you use Fathom Synth regularly the Scrubbing Monkeys banks are an absolute must.
