The Behringer 911 Envelope Generator is an authentic recreation of the classic ADSR envelope from the legendary Moog Modular 900 series. This all-analog module is a fundamental tool for adding dynamics and articulation to your synthesizer patches. An envelope generator creates a contoured control voltage signal that is typically used to shape the amplitude of a VCA or the cutoff of a VCF over time, defining how a sound starts, evolves, and ends. The 911 delivers the snappy, punchy response that made the original an iconic part of the Moog sound.
The 911 features three knobs that control the main temporal stages: T1 for Attack Time, T2 for Decay Time, and T3 for Release Time. A fourth knob, Esus, controls the Sustain level, which is the voltage level held as long as a gate signal is present. The module requires a trigger signal (S-Trig) to start the envelope, staying true to the original's design. With three parallel outputs, you can route the same envelope shape to control multiple parameters in your patch simultaneously, making it a powerful and efficient modulation source.
