Abacus

The Behringer Abacus is a powerful analog logic and function generator for Eurorack, heavily inspired by the renowned "Maths" module, a cornerstone of West Coast synthesis philosophy. It is a versatile modulation hub and a CV playground, designed to be the Swiss Army knife of your modular system. The Abacus can function as a dual envelope generator, a dual LFO, a slew limiter, a clock divider, a logic processor, and much more, making it an incredibly deep and indispensable tool for creating complex, evolving, and organic modulations.

The module is built around two independent function generators (or channels) that can be configured to cycle (as LFOs) or trigger from a gate (as envelopes). Each channel has controls for rise (attack) and fall (decay/release) times, along with CV inputs for modulating these parameters. The real power of the Abacus is unlocked through its logic and mixing section, which allows you to combine the outputs of the two channels using SUM, OR, and INV logic. This enables the creation of incredibly complex modulation shapes and interactions that would otherwise require multiple separate modules.
