It's an old plugin. I know. But I've just found http://bserrano.free.fr and his VSTs. This one is a true masterpiece. Crispy clean sound. Easy to understand signal flow. GUI is also nice (although not according to the latest trends).

Beware : Adonis 2.0 (of the present page) has been released AFTER Adonis Pro 1.6 and is more powerful than Adonis Pro 1.6. Both beeing freeware, Adonis Pro 1.6 must now be considered as an old version of Adonis 2.0.

So you don't need anymore to download Adonis Pro 1.6 but always only Adonis 2.0 of the present page.

Download both, it's not useless... :)
