ARK 2601

ARP 2601 is a Windows 64-bit VST3i (no Apple Mac).

As the name suggests, the synth specializes in quickly building more complex waveforms using a couple of layers of Phase Modulation (think FM). There is also a nice 12 dB Low Pass Filter and a couple of Envelopes. It is a very simple but effective engine with a slant toward some of the earliest digital synths.

The architecture is deliberately simple. To expand this, all controls can be modulated in real time for a more complex patch using the modulation system built into most modern DAWs. You can use ARK 2601 directly a mix, or create static or evolving waveforms for other wavetable synth/samplers.
