Overview

BiteRotator is a real-time adaptive phase-rotation plugin that recovers wasted headroom in voice and dialogue.

The human voice is lopsided. It peaks harder on one side of the waveform than the other, and those uneven peaks eat into your headroom, so every compressor, leveler, and limiter after it clamps down earlier than it needs to. BiteRotator continuously rotates the phase to make the waveform symmetric without changing how it sounds. The loudness and tone stay the same, you just get more usable level before clipping.

Put it first in the chain, ahead of your leveler or limiter, and everything downstream works less for the same loudness.

Two modes

Adaptive: a lookahead mode that tracks the signal and does the job on its own. Set and forget. 764 ms.
Fixed: a low-latency mode for tracking, streaming, or live use. 13.6 ms.

There are effectively no settings to learn. Drag it onto the track and it recovers the headroom automatically.
