The core of the module is its re-triggerable, exponential DADSR (Delay-Attack-Decay-Sustain-Release) envelope. The addition of the initial Delay stage allows you to postpone the start of the envelope after a gate is received, which is incredibly useful for creating rhythmic variations, delayed modulation effects, and complex layered sounds. Each stage of the envelope—Delay, Attack, Decay, and Release—has its own dedicated control and a CV input, providing an exceptional level of dynamic control. This allows for the creation of incredibly expressive and animated envelopes that can be modulated from various sources within your modular system. A standout feature of the Black DADSR EG is its looping function. When engaged, the envelope will continuously loop, creating a complex LFO-like signal. The shape of this looping envelope can be sculpted with the Attack and Decay controls, allowing for a wide variety of modulation waveforms. The module also includes an independent Gate Delay section with a manually controlled delay time. This can be used to delay incoming gate signals before they trigger the envelope, further expanding the rhythmic and timing possibilities.
