The core of the Black High-Pass VCF is its all-analog signal path, which ensures a warm and organic sound. The filter has a steep 24dB/octave slope, which is ideal for creating clean and defined high-pass effects. The large Cutoff knob allows for smooth and precise control over the filter's frequency, while the Resonance control adds a musical peak at the cutoff point, which can be used to create classic resonant sweeps and add emphasis to specific frequencies. At high resonance settings, the filter will self-oscillate, producing a pure sine wave that can be used as an additional sound source. A standout feature of the Black High-Pass VCF is its built-in, post-filter overdrive circuit.
