Black Octasource

The Erica Synths Black Octasource is a deep and highly versatile modulation source that goes far beyond the capabilities of a standard LFO. The core of the Black Octasource is its syncable LFO, which serves as the master clock for the entire module. The LFO's rate can be controlled manually and with CV, and it can also be synced to an external clock for tight rhythmic integration with the rest of your system. The module provides eight outputs, each offering a different waveform: sine, triangle, ramp up, ramp down, and four different pulse waves with varying widths. The key feature of the Black Octasource is that each of these eight outputs is phase-shifted by 45 degrees relative to the previous one. This creates a swirling and constantly evolving tapestry of modulation signals that can be used to animate every aspect of your patch, from filter cutoffs and VCA levels to the parameters of other modules. The Black Octasource also features a "Phase Shift" control, which allows you to manually or with CV, shift the phase of all eight outputs simultaneously.
