The original unit, through years of maintenance and modifications with now-unavailable components, became a unique and highly sought-after piece of gear. Black Lion Audio has meticulously recreated this magic, making its coveted sonic signature accessible to a wider audience.

The Bluey 500 captures the aggressive and harmonically rich character of the original unit. It features custom-wound Cinemag transformers that replicate the original's input and output transformers. To get even closer to the sound of Chris Lord-Alge's console, Black Lion Audio has recreated his console's insert path and built it right into the Bluey 500. The unit also includes a wet/dry mix knob for easy parallel compression, a feature not found on the original.
