The Behringer Brains is a versatile and powerful digital oscillator module for Eurorack, based on the popular open-source "Plaits" macro-oscillator. This module is a sonic chameleon, packing a huge variety of synthesis engines into a single, compact unit. With 20 different synthesis models to choose from, Brains can produce everything from classic virtual analog waveforms and FM synthesis to physical modeling, wavetables, and unique percussive and noise-based sounds. It's an incredibly efficient way to add a massive range of timbres to your Eurorack system without taking up valuable space.

The intuitive interface of Brains allows you to easily select between the 20 different synthesis engines and then shape the sound using three dedicated timbre controls: Timbre, Harmonics, and Frequency. These controls react differently depending on the selected engine, offering a deep and interactive sound design experience. The module features dual audio outputs for main and auxiliary sounds, along with CV inputs for all major parameters, including model selection. This allows for dynamic, evolving sounds that can shift from a simple sawtooth to a complex chord or a noisy percussive hit all within the same patch. It's a powerhouse of digital sound generation for any modular setup.
