A nice demo here by our friend Layzer :

Quite a nice synth, but how on earth does one load its native presets (.bstp?)

All the presets are also provided in the common fxp format and vstpreset format, all are included in the zip file which contains the help. You can manage the load (and save) of the presets in fxp format with any DAW you want.
Unfortunataly Olivier, who was the genius developer of this synth, passed away in October 2015. It was a very sad news for all those who loved this project.
Rest In Peace, Olivier, you have left a wonderful print on Earth.
But the project is perhaps not vanished. There is a real good hope that it will be continued. Clément, a French friend of Olivier (in France we all are friends, much more that American people may think...) is trying to take in charge the continuation of the project. You can read the exchanges about that hope:

Jacques (French too)
Merci, Jacques.
I only learned that sad news later on, let this great synth stay on to commemirate the author.
A very good synth, definitevly. There are several archives here on KVR with some really nice presets, but some are only for the test version 0.89.
So I tried the 0.89test version (see http://roazhondsp.storm-mastering.com/test) with win7/32, on Minihost and Cantabile 2.0, and it was impossible to define the bank folder, it always said that the folder is empty and has no presets/banks etc. Then, after I aborted, it said, the patch manager is disabled for this instance, and asked again for the folder (!). After this second round it started, but seems a bit irritated when loading .fxp patches (only those are possble to load then, via the host). Note that 0.89 .fxp are not recognized in 0.87 (no message, but also no sound/param change). Manipulation of the .cfg in the roaming folder did not work, also several attempts with shorter names and paths for the banks folder led to no success. Also note that the vsti asks for the banks folder during first scan of a host (f.i. a DAW), if the path was not set before.
That doesn't diminish the synth's quality, but the 0.89test version defnitevly needs some bugfixing.
I would recommend, if it is possible, to use the u-he method for the banks folder path, a simple file shortcut pointing to it, located where the dll resides. Ths eliminates the need for a .cfg file in that nasty roaming path, which should be avoided for several reasons.
It is very sad that the creator of this great synth died. I suggest, since his work is not complete, to make it an open source project. I am sure, that the community will honor the quality of the creation and maintain it properly.
I have never heard about a vsti that there is no way to load its own patches.
There is.
Using the DAW.
Today ALL the DAWs have their own features to load and save the presets and banks of their installed plugins.
A built-in presets/banks loader/saver makes actually sense only when there are special functions in the preset browser (a search function, groups and sort functions, etc.). When there are not these functions, and it is very rare to have them in freeware plugins... why not use simply the presets/banks loader/saver of the DAW ?
I want to add an information if you don't know it: Our friend Olivier, developer of Brainstormer, passed away a year and half ago. And he was continuing to improve the synth when he died. So:
It's a reasonable question to ask. There are a number of patches out there in .bstp format which have no .fxp or .fxb equivalents. If there is a way to load these patches from within the plugin (since you can't do it via the DAW), any information on how to do so would be greatly appreciated, not just by me, but by the community at large.
Indeed.
HOW DO YOU LOAD PRESETS INTO BRAINSTORMER.....HELP !!!.
