BreadSlicer is a live auto-slicer effect : it takes the incoming sound, slice it into small parts (sync'ed to the tempo) and re-arrange randomly the slice parts.
There's a lot to like and dislike about this plugin. For starters, the 1/4 and 1/8 options are quite neat if you want some effective breaks. Unfortunately, when starting on a pattern more than once the slicing will go out of sync so you'll either have to record the sliced break when the plugin's first loaded or restart it entirely. Another thing what irks me is the 1/16 mode - when an amen break is sliced up in this instance, the kick just ends up feeling too short and not as impactful as before. Download this if you're looking for a simple, although lazy plugin to do basic break slicing - you might only get snippets worth of good slices, but it's better than having completely unedited samples.Read Review
Tried it with Grainstrain>Breadslicer>Glitch2 andf think its's good. Grainstrain brings additional control to the groove and the Breadslicer Gate is very useful to change the behaviour of Glitch2 and brings great results. Simple but effective.Read Review
