The Capt'n Big-O provides a wide range of sonic options right out of the box. It generates three primary waveforms simultaneously: sine, triangle, and sawtooth, each with its own dedicated output. This allows for complex layering and mixing of timbres. The module truly shines with its advanced wave-shaping features. It includes a drive circuit for adding warmth and saturation, a unique "wavefolder" that adds complex harmonic overtones, and a pulse-width modulation (PWM) input for creating classic animated synth sounds. With both coarse and fine-tuning controls, dialing in the perfect pitch is effortless. The module also features both 1V/octave and exponential FM inputs, opening the door to everything from subtle vibrato to clangorous, bell-like tones and aggressive, atonal textures.
