The Behringer Chaos is a powerful and unpredictable random sampling module for Eurorack, inspired by the innovative "Chance" module by Qu-Bit Electronix. It is designed to be a controllable source of chaos and unpredictability, generating a wide variety of random gates, triggers, and voltages to bring life, variation, and happy accidents to your patches. Whether you want to create evolving, generative melodies, unpredictable rhythmic patterns, or subtle, organic modulation, Chaos is a deep well of creative inspiration.

At its core, Chaos uses a random sampling process based on a coin toss analogy. It features a main random voltage generator with control over its distribution (from smooth to stepped) and slew (glide). This is accompanied by a trigger generator that can produce random bursts of triggers or steady, but musically related, clock divisions. It includes multiple, musically-related random voltage outputs, a gate output, and even a random audio noise source. With extensive CV control over its parameters, Chaos allows you to tame the randomness and guide it, making it a powerful tool for both generative music and adding human-like variation to structured compositions.
