EARTH SHATTERING DRUMS

A collection of 11 earth shattering Gong Drums, played with 6 different beaters and a wide variety of tunings. Processed to be larger than life, they have a massive impact without loosing their authentic character.

THE SOUND

Gong Drums have a distinct sharp attack with a less sustained low-end but a much more defined attack. We mixed all drums to emphasize that while giving them a bit more weight.

Everything has been recorded in a large hall, that is accentuated in the ROOM mics, with the MID mic being more of a standard mix.
The CLOSE mic is very dry with a lot of low-end.

As beaters we used Sticks, Mallets, Rods, Brushes, Hard Mallets and Heavy Sticks (a rolling pin), each having a unique tone and attack.

- The ADSR can be set for each microphone individually
- Each Round Robin can be turned on and off
- You have total control over which key triggers which sound
- Alternative sample mapping, where low keys are low dynamic and high keys are high dynamic
- Delay compensating pitching
- Random delay for livelyness
- Adjustable onset (negative track delay)
- Customizable output assignments.
