Digiface USB

The RME Digiface USB is a highly compact and portable digital audio interface that provides an incredible amount of I/O for its size. It is the perfect solution for users who need to connect multiple ADAT and S/PDIF devices to their computer via a simple USB 2.0 connection. Ideal for expanding existing audio interfaces with more I/O, integrating hardware synthesizers and effects with optical outputs, or building a lightweight mobile recording rig based on external preamps and converters. The Digiface USB delivers RME's legendary driver performance and stability in an extremely convenient, bus-powered package.

Despite its small footprint, the Digiface USB offers four ADAT/S/PDIF optical inputs and four ADAT/S/PDIF optical outputs. This allows for a total of 32 input and 32 output channels at a 48 kHz sample rate. Using the S/MUX protocol, it can support 16 channels of I/O at 96 kHz and 8 channels at 192 kHz. One of the optical outputs is switchable to carry a high-resolution S/PDIF signal. Additionally, a 1/4" TRS headphone jack provides a high-quality analog monitoring output. The interface is controlled by RME's TotalMix FX software, giving users a powerful routing matrix to send any input channel to any output channel, making it easy to manage complex digital signal flows and create latency-free monitor mixes.
