Very Good Drum Synth !!.
I am able to get very tight and modern electro synth drums. It has a nice set of features which allows you to design an interesting and new timbres. Especially I love the snare drum variability and the character of hihat. Thank you, I appreciate your effort you put in development.
Some useful feedback:
- PLEASE make the knob behaviour in vertical mode, not circle. It drives me crazy to control the knobs in circular mode, it's very uncomfortable.
- Add the Master volume knob. I didn't find it.
-Route waveshaper directly to drum modules instead of applying waveshaper on audio outputs.
- Add Dry/Wet for waveshaper on individual drum sections. I want to have a control over the mix of waveshaped and dry signal - it's a very useful feature when it comes to sound design.
- Improve the GUI. Highlight the headings of drum sections. I need to see that labels (Kick, Snare, etc.) clearly. At present they're lost in bunch of other labels. It's not intuitive. And a very nice feature would be visual blinking of the label when drum is triggered.
My rating of this plug - 9/10.
Excellent sounding instrument.
Like Synthblaster, I too feel that vertical knob mode is 100 times better.
The FX routing is confusing, but with some time, starts to make sense.
It's not easy enough to see what instruments are where.
Its not always clear what the envelopes are doing, and if the ranges are from 0 to 1 or -1 to +1 for example. (knob dials with a middle marker usually imply they are -1 to +1 in value, but i suspect in the case of this gui, they are used as a design feature, which isn't so great.)
I love this plugin, which is why I chimed in to praise and offer loving critique.
This thing is awesome, if you are into synthetic drums for electronic music you gonna love this.
Can anyone please tell me where to find the menu for saving & loading presets? I seem to suffer from a case of GUI-blindness.
Also, why does attempting to load this plugin in 32-bit Reaper v7.16 result in the dreaded "can't load SE [Synth Edit] plugin:The specified module could not be found" error while 64-bit Reaper loads it just fine?
Too bad this is apparently abandonware - I really enjoy it despite some flaws and would have liked to see the various requests from previous commenters being implemented.
Very good indeed. It sounds to me quite like something Vince Clarke would use. Absolutely. I like this a lot.
