FILTER S/H

NIVIEM Filter S/H is a component-level recreation of the legendary 1974 Maestro FSH-1 / Oberheim VCF-200 sample/hold pedal - every block of the original schematic modelled, then extended with modern production-grade additions.

Three Operating Modes

• Filter - LFO-swept cutoff for the canonical auto-wah voice. Five waveforms (Triangle / Sine / Square / Sawtooth Random) where the original was triangle only.
• Sample/Hold - avalanche-noise stepped voltages, the iconic "computer bleeps" bubble heard on 1970s sci-fi.
• Envelope - Mu-Tron III-style auto-wah driven by input dynamics. Sensitivity 1×–12× and continuous Attack 0.5–50 ms drive a peak-detector envelope follower. (Niviem creative addition, not on the original 1974 hardware).

• Five filter types (LP authentic, plus BP / HP / Notch / Peak as Niviem additions).
• Five LFO waveforms in Filter mode (Triangle authentic + four modern additions).
• Authentic Leslie 122 rotating-cabinet stage, modelled from scratch and switchable.
• Host tempo sync from 4 bars to 1/16 notes.
• Dry / wet Mix control for parallel processing.
• 41 factory presets across six categories + full user save / load / rename.

Technical Highlights

• True 12 dB/oct TPT (Topology-Preserving Transform) state-variable filter.
• Per-OTA tanh saturation with frequency-dependent Q reduction (vintage CA3080 behaviour).
• LM741 triangle-wave LFO + avalanche-noise sample/hold modelled at component level.
• Mu-Tron III peak detector tanh sqrt perceptual mapping for the Envelope mode.
• 2× oversampling on the saturation stage.
• Gaussian-noise generation via Box-Muller transform.
• In-plugin Nivipedia - right-click any control for context-aware help.
