Fireface UCX II

The RME Fireface UCX II is a highly versatile and compact half-rack audio interface that delivers an incredible amount of connectivity and professional-grade performance. It represents the evolution of RME's classic UCX, now updated with state-of-the-art converters, advanced features like DURec direct USB recording, and the same SteadyClock FS technology found in their high-end products. The UCX II is the perfect centerpiece for project studios, mobile recording rigs, and post-production suites where space is at a premium but quality cannot be compromised. It offers a complete solution with pristine preamps, extensive I/O, and the power of TotalMix FX in a portable format.

This feature-packed interface provides a total of 20 input and 20 output channels, for a total of 40 channels of audio. It includes two digitally controlled microphone/instrument preamps on the front panel and six balanced line inputs on the rear. For outputs, it offers six balanced line outputs and a stereo headphone output. Digital I/O is extensive, with ADAT, AES/EBU, and S/PDIF available, alongside Word Clock and MIDI I/O. A standout feature is DURec, which allows you to record all 40 channels directly to a USB thumb drive, completely independent of a computer. The UCX II can also be run in stand-alone mode, functioning as a sophisticated preamp, converter, and monitoring controller, all controlled via its front panel display and encoder.
