FocusRoot EQ is a pitch-aware harmonic focus EQ for macOS.
Unlike a conventional static EQ that only boosts or cuts fixed frequencies, FocusRoot EQ detects the fundamental pitch of the source and visualizes the harmonic structure directly on the spectrum.
It is designed for material where the important frequency area moves with the performance: vocals, bass, strings, winds, percussion, metallic sounds, and other harmonic sources.
The interface shows F0, harmonic markers, spectrum, and EQ response in one view, making it easier to understand where the musical core of the sound is located.
FocusRoot EQ is not intended to replace your main EQ or mastering chain. Instead, it works as a focused tone-shaping tool that helps stabilize, clarify, and focus the harmonic center of a track before or alongside your normal mixing tools.
Main controls:
- Focus: overall harmonic focus amount
- Tightness: wide-to-tight focus behavior
- Tracking: smooth-to-fast pitch tracking response
- Mode: Vocal, Bass, Strings, Percussion, Metals, Winds
- Track Lock: stabilizes the detected pitch behavior when needed.
FocusRoot EQ is especially useful when static EQ feels too rigid, but full dynamic processing feels too heavy-handed.
Thanks.
