The core of the Fusion VCO V2 is a highly stable AS3340-based oscillator that tracks accurately over an impressive eight-octave range. It provides three simultaneously available waveform outputs, giving you a solid foundation for your sound design. A transistor-based -1 octave suboscillator adds extra weight and depth to your sounds. A key feature of the Fusion VCO V2 is its detune function, which utilizes two BBD delay lines to create a frequency-shifted signal that is mixed back with the main oscillator. This emulates the sound of two detuned VCOs, resulting in an incredibly thick and chorus-like effect. The tube crunch circuit adds a layer of distinctive and musical tube overdrive, which can be dialed in to add subtle warmth or aggressive distortion.
