Gaugex

Gaugex is a free loudness and metering plugin for macOS. It measures your mix against streaming and club targets to ITU-R BS.1770-4, with true-peak, dynamics, correlation, and low-end analysis in one window.

Loudness metering (ITU-R BS.1770-4 / EBU R128):

• Integrated, Momentary, and Short-Term LUFS.
• Loudness Range (LRA) and a 60-second loudness history graph.
• Platform targets: Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, Club, Broadcast, or a custom LUFS target.
• Gain-to-target readout and a pass/fail badge, with a Match button to hit the target.

Peak, dynamics, and phase:

• 4× oversampled True-Peak (dBTP) with an intersample-peak alert, plus sample peak and RMS.
• Peak-to-Loudness / crest-factor readout with color-coded zones.
• Phase-correlation meter and a mono-compatibility check.
• Low-end phase correlation and a sub-cancellation alert below 150 Hz.

Tools:

• FFT spectrum display (20 Hz–20 kHz).
• Optional gain trim and an intersample-peak ceiling.
• Mono-sum monitor for checking mono-friendly sub-bass.
• Mastering-log CSV export of the current readings.
