Native Instruments Glaze is a versatile virtual instrument designed to bring modern, glossy vocal textures to your productions. Part of the popular Play Series, Glaze focuses on delivering immediate inspiration and high-quality sounds with an intuitive interface. It's built to cater to genres like pop, hip-hop, R&B, and trap, providing a wide array of vocal elements from lush chords and pads to dynamic leads and unique "Riff and Run" sequences.

Developed in collaboration with renowned engineers Curtis "Sauce" Wilson and Rochad Holiday, who have worked with artists such as Ne-Yo, Ariana Grande, Will Smith, and Dr. Dre, Glaze draws on professional vocal engineering workflows. The instrument is powered by samples recorded with diverse live vocalists, ensuring authentic and expressive results. Its core strength lies in offering polished vocal sounds on demand, allowing producers to quickly add professional-grade vocal harmonies, textures, and melodic phrases to their tracks.

The latest iteration, Glaze 2, expands upon the original with even more vocal content, including a dedicated talkbox mode and enhanced chord presets. This update allows for the creation of complex vocal harmonies with over 30 custom chord sets and background vocals meticulously mapped to keys, making advanced vocal arrangements accessible with minimal effort. Glaze is not just a sample playback engine; it also provides robust sound manipulation capabilities through its user-friendly interface. Producers can tweak sounds using assignable macro knobs, dive into the Sound Editor for detailed control over individual sound sources (tuning, filters, panning, envelopes), and customize effect chains with the Effects Editor. For rhythmic inspiration, a flexible 16-step sequencer is also included, allowing for modulation of up to six assignable macros.
