I've evaluated over 20 Guitar Sims plug-ins, and for hard rock and metal, Plektron's Guitar Amp is without doubt one of the best guitar sims currently available. The price of this is also well below most of those that I evaluated. They offer a demo version which allows one to try out all the various options included in the program. Very easy to set up and use.
