Honest Overdrive

Honest Overdrive is a high-quality minimalist distortion plug-in. It's easy to use, and it fulfills an array of uses for both professionals and hobbyists.

The distortion characteristics are controlled with two parameters, "clipping threshold" and "softness amount." The "clipping threshold" sets the point at which the effect transitions from linear to non-linear processing. The "softness amount" controls how quickly the effect transitions from the clipping threshold to the point of maximum saturation.

Honest Overdrive has two status indicators, "overdriven" and "maximum saturation." The "overdriven" indicator lights up when the incoming audio is in the non-linear range. The "maximum saturation" indicator lights up when the overdrive is pushed to it's limit.
