HorusDSP

HorusDSP is a Eurorack DSP host for modular synthesizers. Beside the flexibility of plugins, it adds also programmability and polyphony to modular synthesizers world. HorusDSP provides 2 analog audio inputs, 4 analog audio outputs and 4 Control Voltage inputs.

HorusDSP is based on an hardware DSP which runs the plugin locally, with a latency of only one sample between the input and the output. That means that you can chain as many Horus DSP modules as you want, or include HorusDSP in any analog patch.

The VST plugins are used only for edition purposes. Once programmed, HorusDSP runs as a completely standalone module. It can also store up to 32 programs in its local memory, which can be recalled simply by a MIDI Program Change message.

Plugins already available are:

• Dual Harmonic Oscillator.
• Dual multimode filter/DCA with integrated modulation matrix.
• Quadruple oscillator with unison/poly mode.
• Bass synthesizer.

Other plugins are being developed and will be available soon:

• Vocoder.
• Phaser/Flanger.
• Multi FM Oscillator.
• etc..

All plugins are available for free once the hardware is bought. And all future plugins will be free too. This makes the HorusDSP a versatile and cost competitive solution compared to any existing module.

HorusDSP also supports an innovative control solution, called VirtualCV, based on RTP-MIDI open protocol. All plugins can be controlled in real-time with a time resolution of 1 millisecond. This functionality is specifically designed for Max/MSP and Sensomusic Usine users, who can create a modulation control patch to control in real time HorusDSP modules.

Last but not least, HorusDSP is completely open. That means that you can write your own plugins and load them into HorusDSP module.
