Inter:State is a multi-rack audio effect host designed to consolidate complex plugin chains into a single, playable environment. Built for engineers and sound designers, it provides a unified space to build serial, parallel, and multiband structures using your existing third-party VST/AU plugins, without the friction of managing fragmented MIDI mappings and overlapping windows.

Instead of a chaotic desktop of floating GUIs, Inter:State uses a fixed, bento-style interface. Your visualisers, macro panels, mixer, and routing matrix stay exactly where you expect them, updating instantly based on your current context (Main, Rack, or Slot).

Core Features:

• Three-Rack Architecture: Build chains across 3 independent processing lanes (Rack A, B, C) with 8 serial slots per rack.
• Central Patch Bay: Route audio through your racks in Parallel, Serial, Multiband, or custom hybrid configurations with a single click. Includes dedicated rack dry/wet blending and auxiliary sidechain routing.
• Hierarchical Macro Control: Map complex parameter changes to 8 macros per context. Slot macros control individual plugins, Rack macros control entire chains, and Main macros provide global, session-wide performance control.
• Intelligent AutoMap: Automatically assigns third-party plugin parameters to slot macros based on heuristics and usage. Save your ideal macro layouts as per-plugin defaults so they load perfectly every time.
• Rhythmic & Envelope Modulation: Turn any macro into a time-based or signal-based control. Draw smooth LFO curves, create stepped sequencer patterns, or trigger movements directly from audio inputs and sidechains.

Native DSP Utilities:

• Auto-Gain & Auto-Match: Eliminate loudness bias during A/B testing with built-in, delay-compensated level matching (Fast peak, RMS, or LUFS).
• Per-Slot Oversampling: Apply up to 16x oversampling to specific non-linear plugins without taxing your entire processing chain.
• Context-Aware Visualisers: A persistent top panel featuring a beat-synced oscilloscope, a high-resolution frequency analyzer, and an interactive multiband crossover display.
• Inter:State[Bridge]: Includes a companion instrument plugin to solve DAW automation limits. Automate or MIDI-map a single Bridge instance to orchestrate macros across multiple Inter:State plugins on entirely different tracks.
