Isovocal

Isovocal isolates the vocal of whatever warped Session clip is playing in Ableton Live and puts it on one MIDI-mappable dial: left is the instrumental, the middle is the original untouched track, right is the bare vocal. Every position in between is a usable blend, and it stays locked to Live's warped playback, including loops, retriggers, tempo changes and transpose.

Separation runs once per song, offline, using the Demucs v4 hybrid transformer running locally on your machine. On Apple Silicon it runs on the GPU and a typical track takes about twenty seconds. Results are cached, so prepping a set is something you do once. During the set, playback is just a buffer read, so the CPU cost on stage is close to zero.
