The Behringer K-2 is a semi-modular analog synthesizer that authentically captures the raw, powerful, and often aggressive sound of a legendary dual-oscillator monosynth from the 1970s. The pure analog signal path of the K-2 is fundamental to its authentic vintage character. The two VCOs offer multiple waveforms and can be synced for harmonically rich and complex tones. A key feature of the K-2 is its highly resonant filter, which can be switched between high-pass and low-pass modes, each with its own dedicated output. This filter is known for its ability to go from smooth and creamy to screaming and chaotic, defining much of the synth's character. The semi-modular design allows you to start making sounds instantly without a single patch cable, but the 36-point patch bay unlocks its true potential, allowing you to reroute the internal signal flow and interface with a world of other modular and semi-modular equipment. The K-2 also includes an external audio input, enabling you to process external sound sources through its iconic filter and VCA.
