KAGE DEGRADE

KG DEGRADE is a multi-band processor that adds creative characteristics by adding deliberate sound degradation and a unique Lo-Fi texture. This plug-in provides flexibility in order to independently apply degradation effects to each band by finely dividing the entire audio spectrum into four bands: Low, Low Mid, Mid High, and High. Users can use the 'DEGRADE' knob on each band to manipulate the digital resolution and sampling rate in combination to achieve aged textures or intentionally damaged digital sounds mimicking vintage equipment. The 'MIX' control provided to each band, allows for a delicate mixture of degraded and original signals, allowing for a bold application of effects or even some subtle melting into the mix. In addition, the 'GAIN' and 'NOISE' knobs adjust the level of each band and add noise floors similar to those generated by real analog equipment to create a more realistic and grungey sound. In particular, the ANALOG and TUBE switches at the bottom combine warm, organic analog and vacuum tube-specific saturation with deteriorated digital sounds to bring depth and vitality to the digital effects that can otherwise feel cold. KG DEGRADE is a pioneer of sound design that allows for detailing that is otherwise difficult to reach with conventional effectors, such as adding funky texture to drums, applying unique telephone effects to vocals, or giving synthesizers a classic sampler feel.
