Kernix is a six-module multi-effect processor for macOS that takes a dry vocal or synth from clean warmth to controlled chaos in a single fixed chain. Built for tech house, it stays musical when pushed hard.

Drive & Warp:

  • Five saturation modes: Warm, Crunch, Tape, Broken, and Hell.
  • Per-stage dry/wet on the saturation.
  • Pitch shift −12 to +12 semitones, independent of formant, in Mono or Poly.

Echo:

  • Tempo-synced delay from 1/32 to 1/2.
  • Feedback is re-saturated by the drive stage on every repeat.
  • High feedback with high drive builds rising, distorted tails.

Texture:

  • Bit-depth reduction from 24 down to 2.
  • Sample-rate reduction for aliased grit.
  • Packet-loss-style digital dropout.

Firewall & Plasma:

  • A dynamic 2–5 kHz notch that tightens harshness only when needed, transparent on clean signals.
  • A Plasma exciter above 8 kHz to restore high-end brightness.
  • Auto-Gain keeps levels honest as you drive.

All presented through a glowing orange-on-black terminal-style interface.

Formats: AU, VST3, and Standalone — Universal Binary (Apple Silicon + Intel), code-signed and notarized by Apple, so it installs cleanly on macOS.
