A one-knob character effect with two opposite personalities. Right to love the sound, left to hate it.

Most character plugins give you one flavor and a wet/dry knob. LOVE gives you two engines pulling in opposite directions from a single control. Turn right and a granular pitch cloud blooms around the source, scattering octaves and fifths into the stereo field. Turn left and a spectral engine hollows it out, cold and tinny, with a dissonant halo that won't sit still. Get closer to the center to strike a balance.

However you feel about it.

Two sides of one knob::

• LOVE - a real-time granular pitch cloud. Grains are pitched to octaves, fifths and double octaves, lightly detuned, and panned wide.
• HATE - a spectral engine. Purifies the signal down to its peaks, blooms a cold tail behind it, and stacks a detuned halo on top for beating and unease.

Controls::

• The main knob runs LOVE to HATE. The two smaller knobs change meaning with it:
  • WAVER / SEETHE - shimmer on the love side, tinny dissonance on the hate side.
  • LONGING / GRUDGE - how far back the cloud reaches, or how long the cold tail lingers.
• SYNC - locks the cloud's swells to your project tempo. The subdivision follows WAVER: quarters, eighths, sixteenths.
• Mix, audio bypass, and full automation on everything.

Recommended Workflow:

Start at the extremes. Push the knob all the way one way, find the sound, then walk it back toward the middle until it sounds right in your mix. LOVE is loud about what it does - the useful settings are usually further in than you'd expect, or much closer to center than you'd think.
