M-1620 Pro

The RME M-1620 Pro is a state-of-the-art AD/DA converter that seamlessly blends high-channel-count analog conversion with extensive digital I/O, including AVB and MADI. Designed for professional recording studios, broadcast applications, and live sound systems, this 1U device delivers reference-class audio performance and unparalleled routing flexibility. It provides 16 channels of pristine analog-to-digital conversion and 8 channels of digital-to-analog conversion, which can be expanded to 20 analog outputs with the addition of high-quality headphone/line outputs. The M-1620 Pro acts as a powerful bridge between the analog and digital worlds, offering RME's renowned reliability and sound quality.

The unit features 16 balanced TRS line inputs and 8 balanced TRS line outputs on the rear panel, complemented by four stereo TRS outputs on the front, two of which are high-power headphone outputs. This unique configuration allows it to function as a 16x20 analog converter. On the digital side, it is equipped with coaxial and optical MADI I/O, redundant Gigabit Ethernet ports for AVB audio networking (compliant with IEEE 802.1 BA and 1722.1 standards), ADAT outputs, and Word Clock I/O. The device can be fully controlled via a web interface over the network, and its dual internal redundant power supplies ensure maximum operational safety in critical environments. A front-panel display provides at-a-glance metering and status information for all channels.
