MIDI Lens

MIDI Lens is a lightweight utility designed to show you what chords you are playing in real-time. It's not trying to replace a music theory degree; it's just a "lens" to help you see the harmonies passing through your MIDI track.

Built with Rust, it focuses on being fast and easy on the eyes. It identifies basic triads, common jazz extensions, and slash chords, presenting them in a minimalist interface that fits into any modern workflow.

What it does:

• Real-time Detection: Shows the most likely chord name as you press keys.
• Simple Logic: Handles common extensions like 7ths, 9ths, and 13ths, plus basic suspensions and alterations.
• Clean Look: A typography-focused UI with a handful of color presets to match your mood or DAW theme.
• Active Note List: A small area at the bottom to keep track of exactly which MIDI notes are currently held.
• MIDI Lens features a flexible theme system that goes beyond simple aesthetic presets. While it comes with 8 curated color palettes, every color component (bg_r, bg_g, bg_b, fg_r, fg_g, and fg_b) is tied to a core plugin parameter, making the entire interface fully automatable.
