At the heart of the Model D is its pure analog, discrete circuitry. It features three voltage-controlled oscillators (VCOs), each with a range of selectable waveforms, allowing for the creation of incredibly rich and fat sounds. The legendary 24dB/octave ladder filter with its powerful resonance control is the key to the Model D's famous sound, capable of everything from smooth, mellow tones to aggressive, biting textures. The synthesizer also includes a dedicated LFO, two ADSR envelope generators for the filter and amplifier, and a semi-modular design that allows for basic internal patching and integration with other modular and CV-equipped gear.
