For me it is astonishing. It has learning curve that is bypassed by playing around with it. Nice.

Edit - After spending just a little more time with this I'm getting sound and it's awesome! I admit I still hardly know what I'm doing and this thing could really use a tutorial but it sounds great! For now I'll give it a 4 out of 5 only because of how hard it is to figure out. Sounds amazing though and has some beautiful evolving ambient sounds! Hint - I didn't see it in the readme but it's on the website, the "start" buttons are the two smaller buttons left of the top left big circle above the stop button.
I hate to leave such a bad review (especially on a free product) and I'm willing to except some of this is on me, but I can't figure this thing out. I'm certainly not a programmer but I'm decent with computers and have been using DAW's and VST's for over 10 years. I've spent about an hour with the stand alone version and the VST2 version and only manged to somehow get sound once out of the stand alone app. There is very little help in the readme (almost nothing in the VST2 one) and I could not find any other info / help online. It's too bad as from the demo song and the looks of this it seems like there is a TON of potential with this piece of software. I'll try again at a later date and if I can figure it out or find a tutorial I will re-review as I'm sure this thing deserves a 5 out of 5.
