The Akai MPK Mini IV is a compact MIDI keyboard controller designed to serve as a versatile creative hub for modern music producers, beatmakers, and performers. Building on the legacy of its popular predecessors, this fourth-generation model integrates a host of new features and refined controls into a portable format, making it suitable for both studio work and on-the-go music creation. The MPK Mini IV is engineered to provide an immediate, hands-on connection to your digital audio workstation (DAW) and virtual instruments, facilitating a seamless workflow from initial idea to final production. At the heart of the MPK Mini IV is a newly designed third-generation keybed with 25 velocity-sensitive mini keys, offering improved dynamic response and playability. For greater expressive control, it now includes true mechanical pitch and mod wheels, a feature often found on larger, more expensive controllers. The controller also features eight assignable 360° rotary knobs and eight velocity- and pressure-sensitive RGB backlit MPC pads, providing tactile control over everything from filter sweeps to drum programming. Creative exploration is enhanced by intelligent Scale and Chord modes, which help users stay in key and build complex harmonies effortlessly. A significantly upgraded arpeggiator with Pattern, Freeze, and Mutate functions offers a new dimension for crafting intricate melodies and rhythmic patterns.
