The signal path of Mr. Phil Ter is both logical and powerful. Your audio signal first passes through the resonant low-pass filter, which is where the module gets its distinctive sonic personality. The filter features cutoff and resonance controls, allowing you to go from smooth and subtle filtering to screaming, self-oscillating tones. The cutoff frequency can be modulated via a dedicated CV input. Following the filter is a clean and responsive VCA, which controls the overall volume of the signal. The built-in attack-release envelope is hard-wired to control both the filter cutoff and the VCA level simultaneously, making it incredibly easy to create classic filter-swept synth sounds.
