MW2E is a Mac OS X (10.6 or later) application for controlling and organizing sound parameters of the Waldorf Microwave II Synthesizer (including the XT line).

The communication with the hardware is taking place utilizing the so-called system exclusive messages of the MIDI protocol.

The program architecture features a bank manager with drag&drop support and a system exclusive driven sound editor.

Arranged on a intuitive designed interface panel each and every parameter can be controlled. This is possible either by moving sliders, choose popup menu entries or by entering the desired value into text fields.

Another feature of the software is the ability to edit Wavetables and Waves, which act as the heart of the wavetable synthesis.

Non-algorithmic ROM or RAM based waves can be copied to table position in user tables or to any free user wave memory slot.

New user waves can be created by additive synthesis or by evaluating mathematical expressions.

It is also possible to do algorithmic programmable wavetables (UPAW), which gives access to frequency modulated and/or wave shaping calculated sounds.

NEW: The latest version offers the opportunity to install an Audio Unit Editor. So, last not least, it is now possible having quick access to current sound program settings and record and play back parameter changes from inside your preferred DAW.
