• Sounds: Layer two engines: choose from Sampler, Synth, and playable multi-sampled instruments from legendary analog synths to classical guitar. Add texture and movement with FX and modulation.
• Chords: The Lab: Notes is packed with hundreds of great chord progressions. Want to make your own? Drop an audio file into The Lab and we'll detect the chords. You play them.
• Macros: The Blob: The quickest way to switch up your sounds. Grab the Blob and move it around to instantly transform each sound into something new.

The Lab

The Lab is your place to build your own chord progressions quickly:

• Chord Sampler: Drag in a loop, audio, or MIDI file. Notes automatically detects the chords and assigns them to keys so you can play and transform them instantly.
• From Scratch: Type in chords and switch between voicing styles—Wide, Pop, Ghibli, R&B, House, Dilla, Caesar—to change the vibe in one click.

Notes Factory Packs

Notes comes with five sound packs, each with its own collection of chord progressions:

• Dark Synths: dark, glowing synths and moody chords that feel like a late night drive through hazy neon streets. Hypnotic, swelling, and atmospheric.
• LoFi: grainy keys drifting through a hazy anime world. Soft, fluttering textures that land right in the pocket. Recorded on all analog equipment by the 44th Floor in California.
• Pedal Dust: guitar tones pushed through pedals until they blur. Diffused, distorted, and dusty tones paired with open, hazy chords.
• Notes Keys: fresh, go-to keys and synth staples for tomorrow. Created with the heavy-hitters we recorded at the Synthesizer Museum in Berlin.
• Textures: melodic, glitchy details that sit somewhere between a sound effect and an instrument. Use them as layers for subtle movement and ear candy — like a pad, but better.
