There are many virtual synths on the market today. So many that it's pretty easy to get lost in the hustle if your product doesn't stand out. Unfortunately for WWAYM, the nWsynth is not something that will jump out of the crowd. I think this is partly to do with he cryptic hard to remember name. The lack of documentation and tutorials will also turn off a lot of new users in the market. It seems the only thing they did right, was make a great sounding synth, and pack it with some of the most professional sounding preset patches on the market.
This synth is very similar to the FabFilter 3.0 in respect to the quality of the filters and oscillators. Clearly a lot of time and consideration has been given to quality with this product. The pay off is a fairly heavy CPU load on some presets. Between the two, I much prefer nWsynth's simple yet effective interface. There is only one edit page on the nWsynth, but they have managed to layout everything you need to program, or tweak sounds on the page without the interface feeling cluttered.
If you are in the market for a subtractive synth, take a quick stop at Wwhwahatawwayms website, and give the presets a listen.Read Review
