OctaMic II

The RME OctaMic II is a high-quality, 8-channel microphone and line preamplifier designed for professionals who need to expand their system with pristine and transparent inputs. This versatile unit is the perfect front-end for any recording setup, providing eight balanced microphone/line inputs that feed directly to eight balanced line outputs and an 8-channel ADAT optical output. Each of the eight channels features a combo XLR/TRS input that accepts both microphone and line-level signals. The preamps provide a clean gain range from +6 to +60 dB. Individual switches for 48V phantom power, a low-cut filter, and phase inversion are available for each channel. The unit's A/D converters operate at up to 192 kHz, delivering audio to the ADAT output with exceptional clarity. The internal clocking is based on RME's renowned SteadyClock technology, which guarantees excellent jitter suppression and can be synchronized to external Word Clock or the incoming ADAT signal.
