The Behringer Odyssey is a faithful and loving recreation of one of the most iconic duophonic analog synthesizers of the 1970s. This legendary instrument was famed for its flexibility, aggressive sound, and its ability to create everything from fat basses and searing leads to complex sound effects. The Behringer Odyssey captures the entire signal path and character of the original, including its dual oscillators, multiple filter types, and unique performance controls, making this classic sound accessible to a new generation of musicians. This synthesizer is a feature-for-feature tribute, boasting two analog VCOs with sawtooth, square/pulse with PWM, and oscillator sync capabilities. A key feature is the inclusion of all three generations of the original's famous filter designs (2-pole 4023, 4-pole 4035, and 4-pole 4075), which can be selected via a switch, giving you the full sonic history of the instrument in one unit. The Odyssey also features the distinctive Sample & Hold circuit, a flexible LFO, and both ADSR and AR envelope generators. Its duophonic nature allows for two notes to be played simultaneously. Modern additions include MIDI and USB connectivity for seamless integration into a modern studio, and a built-in, high-quality effects section designed by Klark Teknik, featuring world-class reverb, chorus, flanger, delay, and pitch shifting effects to further enhance the sound.
