Perspective

Perspective is a multi-feature virtual monitoring system. The many tools and functions available in Perspective could be divided into two main categories:

1) A speaker simulator that accurately reproduces the various characteristics and sonic signatures of a large (and growing) list of professional studio monitors, consumer electronics, and vehicles.

More specifically, the unique feature that makes Perspective's virtual speaker simulations so accurate, is the hardware selection component of the plug-in; In addition to selecting a desired speaker simulation, the user can select their physical hardware (source monitor). With the "have" and "want" parameters selected, Perspective compensates for the characteristics of the user's hardware monitors, before applying the desired speaker's profile. This results in an extremely accurate reproduction of the desired speaker, as if it were actually there.

2) In addition to the comprehensive speaker compensation and modelling options available in this plug-in, Perspective features a complete center/monitoring section that matches (and at times surpasses) the functionality and signal path clarity of any console. In fact, Perspective's center section offers many features never previously available on large format consoles, or anywhere else. Some of Perspective's center section features include: A fully functioning talkback, mono, dim, a subwoofer controller, Left channel phase flip, FM radio simulation, and even adjustable road ambience, to name a few.

These two comprehensive groups of features were carefully selected and constructed with the aim of meeting the referencing needs of every audio professional during the recording, editing, mixing, and mastering processes. These features have also proven to be very useful in an educational setting. Lastly, the speaker simulations (especially consumer electronics) can be very useful in sound design for film and Television.
