Pico Drive

The Erica Synths Pico Drive is a compact and aggressive overdrive and distortion module designed to add warmth, grit, and character to your Eurorack signals. Part of the space-saving Pico series, this 3HP module is a powerhouse of saturation, capable of transforming clean and polite sounds into harmonically rich and powerful tones. It features a unique circuit design that combines symmetrical and asymmetrical distortion, providing a wide palette of overdrive characteristics.

The Pico Drive offers independent control over both the Drive amount and the Overdrive level, allowing you to precisely dial in the desired amount of saturation and clipping. A standout feature is the Bias control, which shifts the overdrive from a symmetrical, more traditional distortion to an asymmetrical, more complex and wavefolded sound. This Bias parameter is also voltage-controllable, enabling you to create dynamic and evolving distortion effects that can be modulated in real-time. This level of control is rare in such a small module and is key to the Pico Drive's versatility.

Built with Germanium diodes, the Pico Drive delivers a warm, musical, and distinctly analog character. It's an ideal tool for processing drum sounds, adding punch and presence to kicks and snares, as well as for thickening up basslines and lead sounds.
